Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA)

OSF HealthCare is dedicated to provide Mission Partners with a comprehensive and market-competitive total rewards package that includes benefits, compensation, recognition and well-being offerings that focus on the whole person and engage with their current stage of life and career. Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:

  • Weekend: $1.75/hour
Position Summary

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Licenses/Certifications: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
  • Other Licenses/Certifications: CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
