Job description

Electrical Superintendent - Data Center Construction


Industry: Mission Critical / Data Center Construction


We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead and oversee all electrical construction activities for a large-scale Data Center construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mission-critical facilities, electrical systems installation, workforce supervision, safety compliance, and schedule management. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise all field electrical construction activities.
  • Coordinate daily work plans with project management, general contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Manage electricians, foremen, and subcontractor crews to ensure productivity and quality expectations are met.
  • Oversee installation of medium-voltage and low-voltage systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, grounding, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively identify and resolve potential delays.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all site safety requirements.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work complies with project specifications, NEC requirements, and company standards.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Track labor productivity, manpower requirements, and material deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and construction documentation.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on safety, quality, and execution excellence.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of electrical construction experience.
  • 3+ years in a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent role.
  • Experience on Data Center, Mission Critical, Industrial, or Large Commercial Construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and NEC requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical plans, and specifications.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).

Preferred

  • Data Center or Mission Critical project experience.
  • Experience with commissioning and startup activities.
  • Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician background.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
