Occupational Therapist - Occupational Therapist (CHT)

Location: Langhorne, St. Mary Medical Center in the St. Clare Building

Organization: Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder

Overview

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist/CHT to join our team in Langhorne. As two of the region’s most respected providers of orthopedic and upper extremity care, we offer a collaborative, patient-focused environment that prioritizes clinical excellence, innovation, and ongoing professional development.

Position Summary

This position provides comprehensive occupational therapy services in accordance with established clinical protocols, regulatory guidelines, and company policies. The role is responsible for timely, compliant documentation, patient scheduling, and ensuring patients are treated promptly while promoting adherence to prescribed plans of care. It includes supervising and delegating duties to occupational therapy assistants and clinical aides, coordinating with physicians and the rehabilitation team, and supporting front desk and administrative functions as needed. The position also designs and implements individualized therapeutic activity programs to help patients restore function, maximize independence, and return to work or daily life activities while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct.

This is a full-time position, on-site, Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive patient care in accordance with established protocols, policies, and state and federal guidelines.
  • Completes timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Ensures patients are treated promptly and promotes adherence to plans of care, including home exercise programs and appointment attendance standards.
  • Delegates and supervises patient care activities performed by occupational therapy assistants and clinical aides in accordance with the state practice act.
  • Collaborates with referring physicians and members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate patient care.
  • Develops and implements individualized therapeutic activity programs to restore function, promote independence, and support return to work and daily activities.
  • Performs patient scheduling and front desk functions as needed.
  • Maintains professional conduct, pursues continuing education, and adheres to all company policies, values, and procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapy License in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
  • BLS Certification Required
  • Certified Hand Therapy License

Experience:

  • Experience in an outpatient orthopedic occupational therapy clinic preferred
  • New graduates encouraged to apply!!
