Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, it will be mainly evaluations with the potential to grow this into a full time position. You will work closely with our COTA.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs using physiology knowledge and medical terminology

  • Develop and implement tailored care plans that address individual goals for activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, sensory processing, and functional skills

  • Collaborate with PT, PTA, and COTA on staff.

  • Manage discharge planning by evaluating patient progress

  • Provide case management services for patients in our outpatient clinic

  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment to support ongoing therapy goals

  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and care plans in compliance with healthcare standards

Requirements

  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist with current registration or certification as required by local regulations

  • Proven experience working in outpatient ortho clinics

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices; familiarity with medical terminology essential

  • Skilled in developing care plans that incorporate patient-centered goals and discharge strategies

  • Strong case management skills with the ability to coordinate services across multiple providers and settings

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients/caregivers
