Location: 744 S Webster Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301
FTE Status: Full Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
Work Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (6:00am-6:30pm) with an every other weekend rotation and a holiday rotation
Unit Description: Our 30-bed Orthopedic/Neuroscience Unit offers a unique blend of specialty and medical-surgical nursing. We care for patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as neurosurgical procedures such as spinal fusions, laminectomies, decompressions, craniotomies, and tumor resections. Opportunities for cross-training at the Surgical Center are available for team members interested in expanding their perioperative experience.
In addition to our surgical populations, we care for a diverse group of medical patients with orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Common diagnoses include fractures, strokes, seizures, Guillain-Barrรฉ syndrome, amputations, infections, and other acute medical conditions requiring specialized nursing care. This creates a dynamic and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Our diverse patient population provides an exceptional opportunity for nurses to develop strong medical-surgical skills while gaining expertise in orthopedic and neuroscience care. Job Description:
As a CNA at Emplify Health by Bellin, you will perform diagnostic testing, act as a preceptor under the guidance of an RN for new nursing assistants, and assist with the organization of patient rooms, including emptying garbage and stocking linens and other supplies. You will perform refrigerator checks, phlebotomy, and EKGs, ensuring age-appropriate care and service. Your commitment to reliable, predictable outcomes and minimizing needless waits is essential. Proficiency in using Information Systems to their full capability is required. Duties may vary by department.
