Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Dental Kidds – Blaine & Coon Rapids, MN

Pay: $30–$35 per hour

Job Type: Full-time


At Dental Kidds, we create positive dental experiences for kids in a fun, energetic, and welcoming environment. With locations in Blaine and Coon Rapids, our team is passionate about helping children feel confident, comfortable, and excited about their smiles.

We are currently looking for a Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic team. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children, enjoys being part of a supportive team, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting.


Schedule

Monday–Thursday:

  • 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • 7:00/7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Friday:

  • 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM

One Saturday per month:

  • 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Compensation:

$30 - $35 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Assist the orthodontist with procedures and patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Take impressions, digital scans, and radiographs
  • Educate patients and parents on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
  • Maintain accurate patient records and charting
  • Ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience
  • Follow all infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications:
  • An Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
  • Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
  • Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials
  • Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of dental software
