Job description

Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant

Full-Time | $18–$23/hour

Locations: Lithia & Winter Haven

We are hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice. This is a full-time dental assisting position ideal for someone who enjoys chairside assisting, patient education, and working in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.

What You'll Do
  • Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures
  • Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands (as directed)
  • Take X-rays, scans, impressions, and patient progress photos
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and braces aftercare
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EMR
  • Coordinate with clinical and front office teams; cross-train as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant (preferred)
  • RDA or CDA certification (preferred)
  • Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented mindset
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the day
  • Manual dexterity required
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (occasionally more in patient-care situations)
