ORM Reporting Lead, Vice President

Summary:

Reporting to Operational Risk Management Governance Director this role will be focused on managing and overseeing ORM Reporting.  There are several reports that will need overseeing, ensuring accurate and timely information. Ability to highlight the key messages and ensuring consistency across various reports.
 

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Operational Risk Management Reporting Lead who will support the building and execution of the operational risk management processes and frameworks across the US branch of Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ . This includes;

  • Consumption of various data sources to determine which items should be summarized  to various audiences and committees

  • Familiarity with ORM Framework components, including :

    Familiarity with Issue management processes,

    Review of operational risk incidents, including root cause analysis and review of remediation action adequacy to determine summary points for reporting.

    Review of metric breaches and reporting relevant breach information and action plans.

    Familiarity with sub-programs i.e. Third Party, Business Continuity, Change Mgt

    Key Risk Metrics

  • Experience gathering data inputs from various sources and consolidating into effective and concise reporting

  • Risk reporting and analytics experience

  • Participate in and oversee that GRC system developments align with program requirements.

  • Lead or support the engagement with Internal or External Auditors and Regulators on the ORM program and to address inquiries documentation/information requests completely and timely.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments in the Operational Risk space

  • Support other requests as assigned by the ORM Governance Director.

In addition, you will develop regulatory responses, risk management project implementations, and other risk management activities.

Interactions / Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong oral / written communication skills.  Comfortable presenting to management and provide independent challenges when different view exists.

  • Good interpersonal skills to build and manage relationships with business units as well as various second line of defense groups.

  • Strong work commitment and works well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Business and Technical Knowledge

  • Strong Risk or Audit experience

  • Broad view of the financial services industry

  • Strong knowledge across ORM framework elements such as Loss data, KRM/KRI, familiarity with sub-programs and Issue Management

  • Understanding of banking regulatory agency expectation/requirements on operational risk management

  • Strong ability to analyze data and trends and prepare meaningful reports.

  • Strong knowledge of GRC platforms, with Open Pages being a plus

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft tools; Power Apps are a plus, as are reporting tools such as Tableau.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years’ experience in operational risk management, internal audit, management consulting or related field,

  • Experience in coordinating and overseeing reporting

  • Strong knowledge of risk management, regulatory requirements, and industry practices

  • Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and prioritize deliverables.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.  Postgraduate degree is a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $130K - $165K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
