Organizational Development Consultant

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract (minimum 10 months)

About the Opportunity

Judit Inc. is seeking an experienced Organizational Development Consultant to support a large public-sector organization in advancing leadership effectiveness, organizational performance, culture transformation, and workforce development initiatives.

This role is ideal for a consultant who thrives at the intersection of strategy, leadership, change management, and organizational effectiveness. The selected consultant will partner with senior leaders, management teams, and stakeholders across the organization to assess organizational needs, facilitate strategic initiatives, improve team effectiveness, and support enterprise-wide leadership development efforts.

The successful candidate will bring a strong consulting background, exceptional facilitation skills, and the ability to influence leaders at multiple levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership, department leaders, and key stakeholders to identify organizational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate organizational effectiveness initiatives focused on leadership development, team performance, employee engagement, culture, and organizational alignment.
  • Design and facilitate strategic planning sessions, leadership retreats, team workshops, and stakeholder engagement meetings.
  • Conduct organizational assessments, needs analyses, and diagnostic activities to identify performance gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Support change management initiatives by developing strategies that improve adoption, communication, stakeholder alignment, and organizational readiness.
  • Collaborate with leadership coaches, facilitators, and program leaders to integrate development initiatives into broader organizational objectives.
  • Analyze organizational data, feedback, and assessment results to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, reports, findings, and recommendations for organizational leaders.
  • Support leadership development programs designed to strengthen leadership capabilities across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives that improve organizational culture, employee engagement, communication, and workforce effectiveness.
  • Provide consultation and guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, team dynamics, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Participate in both in-person and virtual consulting engagements, workshops, and facilitation sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience providing organizational development, organizational effectiveness, management consulting, change management, or leadership development consulting services.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating organizational assessments, strategic planning sessions, leadership workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Experience supporting organizational change initiatives within complex organizations.
  • Strong consulting, facilitation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence with leaders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience developing executive-level reports, recommendations, and presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as Prosci Change Management, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, Certified Organization Development Professional (ODCP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or related credentials.
  • Experience supporting government agencies, public-sector organizations, transportation authorities, or highly regulated environments.
  • Experience administering or interpreting leadership and organizational assessment tools.
  • Experience partnering with executive coaches and leadership development professionals.
