Job description

The Learning and Tech Content Specialist supports Badger's learning and development efforts through the administration of learning systems, development and maintenance of training content, and coordination of logistics for learning and organizational activities. The position serves as a key operational partner in maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS), publishing and updating digital learning content, tracking participation and completion data, and coordinating logistics for workshops, meetings, and other Organizational Development activities. This role combines technical administration, content support, and strong organizational skills to improve the learner's experience and support business priorities. 

The compensation for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience.
 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Administers and maintains the Learning Management System, including course assignments, learner enrollment, completion tracking, user support, and routine system updates.
  • Uploads, tests, publishes, and archives learning materials within the LMS to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and current.
  • Troubleshoots LMS issues by responding to learner and stakeholder inquiries, resolving basic system problems, and escalating more complex issues when appropriate.
  • Assists in creating standard processes, job aids, and documentation related to LMS usage and learning administration.
  • Partners with subject matter experts and Organizational Development stakeholders to ensure content is clearly organized, branded appropriately, and aligned to business needs.
  • Reviews and updates training content for consistency, usability, version control, and accessibility.
  • Coordinates logistics for Organizational Development activities such as training sessions, workshops, meetings, engagement initiatives, and other employee development events.

What You'll Need for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, instructional design or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.  
  • Demonstrates experience supporting a Learning Management System (LMS), training administration, learning coordination, or related operational support activities preferred.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, workshops, or employee development activities preferred.
  • Experience creating, editing, organizing, or maintaining business or training content in Microsoft Office applications and other digital platforms preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring strong organization, follow-up, and attention to detail.
  • The role requires mobility within work environments, use of office equipment, lifting up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training sessions.
