Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Behavior Consultant to join our team. This position is designed for individuals pursuing BCBA certification who are ready to assume increased clinical responsibilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

The Behavior Consultant supports ABA service delivery through therapist supervision, parent training, treatment implementation, and clinical collaboration. This position works under ongoing BCBA oversight and does not practice independently.

Family First provides services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in home, community, clinic, and telehealth settings. Our mission is to empower families through evidence-based practices, training, and consultation.


Minimum Qualifications:

● Experience providing ABA services to children with developmental disabilities for 2 or more years

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills

● Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance

● Must pass DOJ background check


Preferred Qualifications:

● Enrollment in a BACB-approved graduate program pursuing BCBA certification

● Experience working in a school setting

● Experience providing parent training and caregiver support

● Experience supervising behavior technicians or direct care staff


Responsibilities:

● Provide clinical supervision to assigned ABA clients and therapists under BCBA direction

● Observe sessions and provide performance feedback to therapists

● Support implementation of treatment plans and behavior intervention plans

● Review client data and participate in treatment planning discussions

● Conduct parent training and caregiver support sessions

● Collaborate with BCBAs, therapists, caregivers, and community partners

● Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines

● Attend staff meetings, supervision meetings, trainings, and professional development activities

● Maintain compliance with BACB ethics standards and Family First policies


Skills:

The Behavior Consultant utilizes ABA principles to support client progress, therapist development, and caregiver training. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
