Responsibilities

The Building Maintenance Technician III performs the basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair of all equipment, and facilities. This role follows the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE’s Mission, Vision, and Values.


Qualifications

    • Strong mechanical aptitude required.
    • Knowledge of food manufacturing equipment, including processing and packaging.
    • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic systems.
    • Fabrication and welding skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to read owner's manuals, blueprints, and other technical documents.
    • Ability to utilize spreadsheets and databases to plan and track work.
    • Strong initiative and the ability to work with limited supervision.
    • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operations and maintenance knowledge required.
    • Knowledge of conveyor systems, safety equipment, and safety standards.
    • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

    • Three to five years of experience in a similar manufacturing and warehouse environment.
    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Good Manufacturing Practices certification preferred.
    • Experience working in a food manufacturing and warehousing environment.
    • Experience working with fleet vehicles.
    • Prior project and vendor management experience preferred.
    • Electrician license preferred.

The noise level in the work environments is low to high.
