Job description

The White City VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics is seeking a full-time board certified psychiatrist to serve on the Mental Health Service team. Must have good organizational skills, demonstrated ability to assume a leadership role in patient centered care programs, and ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of an interdisciplinary team. Individual selected for this position will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured adult Veteran patients in both inpatient and outpatient programs. In addition the psychiatrist may provide Tele-psychiatry service or consultation to other mental health clinical programs within the VA Healthcare System. The psychiatrist must effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines within behavioral health and medical/surgical specialties.

White City VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics (VASORCC):
VA SORCC provides support to 64 Transitional Care Residents among 600 total residential rehabilitation beds and a Primary Care/Mental Health outpatient department. Excellent support services include psychiatric care, substance abuse treatment, evidenced-based psychotherapy, and residential treatment.
