Job description

What You’ll do: 

Are you looking for the next step in your career? We’re seeking a hands-on Leader to join our Operations Team and guide our Order Pickers. You’ll coordinate the daily order-picking process, assign work, balance workloads, and keep orders moving accurately and on schedule. As our Order Picking Coordinator, you’ll provide day-to-day direction to the team, troubleshoot roadblocks, and look for ways to improve efficiency and productivity.

On a typical day you will be accountable for: 

Leading, coordinating, and holding accountable up to 12 Order Pickers. You will review and prioritize daily orders, assign work based on customer ship dates and available labor, balance workloads, and monitor progress throughout the day. 

You will also: 

  • Lead daily team huddles to communicate priorities and expectations. 

  • Coach team members on productivity, accuracy, processes, and safety. 

  • Troubleshoot bottlenecks and issues that could delay orders. 

  • Use warehouse and ERP systems to monitor order status and resolve exceptions. 

  • Ensure completed orders move to the appropriate next step, including Quality Control or Production. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve picking accuracy, productivity, and workflow. 

  • Drive a forklift to move orders and pick orders as needed. 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Lift and carry 30-50 pounds throughout the workday. 

  • Tolerate moderate to high noise levels in the warehouse. 

  • Vision abilities required are color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. 

  • Perform a steady pace of work while completing repetitive physical movements: stand, kneel, push and pull objects, reach with hands and arms, etc. 

  • Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned warehouse during the summer with large fans creating moderate airflow.

Education, Experience & Proficiencies: 

  • Experience in warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, or logistics operations preferred. 

  • Experience leading, coordinating, or directing a team. 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Computer skills and the ability to learn ERP/WMS systems. 

  • Familiarity with ERP and WMS preferred. 

  • Microsoft Office 365. 

  • Forklift certified preferred.
