Job description

Position Summary

The Proofing Specialist is responsible for reviewing and verifying customer orders for accuracy and completeness before they are released to production. This role works closely with Order Entry and Customer Service to identify discrepancies, make necessary corrections, and help ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Position Details

  • Review and proof customer orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify that purchase order information matches information entered into the system and make corrections as needed.
  • Process orders for products and materials.
  • Apply appropriate coding to orders to ensure they proceed accurately to the plant for production.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to customer information and order processing.
  • Identify order discrepancies, missing information, or other issues that may delay processing.
  • Communicate with Customer Service Representatives regarding order holds, corrections, and other order-related information.
  • Work closely with the Order Entry team to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple orders and priorities.

Position Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain focus and accuracy in an active office environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP, and other communication/business systems.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Previous furniture industry experience is helpful and preferred.
  • Previous experience with order entry, order processing, customer service, or a related function is a plus.

  •  Prolonged periods of sitting and performing repetitive tasks, including but not limited to computer and telephone usage
