Construction Contracts Manager - Material Processing - Base Salary to 195k/year - Naples, FL

  • Our client, an industry-leading organization focused on developing and commercializing advanced materials processing technologies, is seeking a Construction Contracts Manager to support the development of new, ground-up commercial manufacturing facilities across the United States.
  • In this role, the Construction Contracts Manager will oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale capital construction projects, with an immediate focus on a new commercial manufacturing facility. This individual will manage construction, engineering, procurement, equipment supply, consulting, and service agreements throughout the project lifecycle while partnering with executive leadership, project management, procurement, engineering, finance, and outside legal counsel to protect the company's commercial interests and minimize project risk.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer construction, engineering, procurement, equipment supply, consulting, and service agreements.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including bid documents, contract execution, change orders, amendments, claims, dispute resolution, and project closeout.
  • Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to develop commercial strategies for industrial capital projects and greenfield manufacturing facilities.
  • Coordinate contract reviews with internal stakeholders and outside legal counsel.
  • Monitor contractual obligations, project milestones, deliverables, payment schedules, insurance requirements, bonding requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support contractor prequalification, bid evaluations, and contract award recommendations.
  • Maintain contract documentation, records, reporting systems, and contract administration files.
  • Support construction projects involving industrial manufacturing plants, material processing facilities, recycling facilities, mining operations, aggregates plants, sand plants, and other heavy industrial facilities.
  • Support future facility expansions and strategic construction projects throughout North America.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience managing contracts for industrial construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, EPC, EPCM, process industry, or large capital construction projects.
  • Experience supporting ground-up (greenfield) industrial construction or manufacturing facility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracting, procurement practices, commercial risk allocation, and contract administration.
  • Experience with EPC, EPCM, design-build, equipment supply, and professional services agreements.
  • Experience administering contracts utilizing AIA, ConsensusDocs, FIDIC, or similar standard construction contract forms.
  • Experience working with engineering, procurement, legal, finance, executive leadership, and project management teams.
  • Experience managing multiple complex construction contracts simultaneously.

Compensation

  • This role includes a base salary in the 165k - 195k/year range. Our client also offers Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k with company match, PTO, and relocation assistance if relocation is applicable.
