Inventory/Warehouse - Operations Manager -Shop

Plymouth, MA, USA

Position Summary

The Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the shop, warehouse, and yard, including scheduling deliveries, coordinating the loading and unloading of equipment and materials, and maintaining organized inventory. This position ensures customer sales and rental orders are prepared accurately while promoting safe and efficient operations.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and schedule delivery drivers and material movement.
  • Receive, inspect, sort, and distribute incoming shipments and purchase orders.
  • Accurately maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels.
  • Prepare and fulfill customer sales and rental orders.
  • Process customer sales transactions at the point of sale.
  • Load and unload company and vendor trucks manually or with forklifts.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse and yard area.
  • Operate power tools for cutting, drilling, and other shop-related tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must meet all applicable DOT requirements and standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
