We are currently seeking a Business Processing Associate to join our Client Experience team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of various financial transaction types, for analyzing trade requests deemed "not in good order" and for incorporating the necessary steps to ensure all information and documentation is received in good order for processing. The incumbent is also responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to internal teams, to our advisors and/or to third-party institutions depending on the assigned task.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct adequate analysis of all new financial/transactional request types
  • Analyze and interpret trade requests to make sound decisions to action the request accordingly
  • Ensure proper documentation and appropriate authorization is obtained as per company policies and procedures before processing any transactional requests
  • Handle set ups and/or modifications to existing/ongoing systematic transactions in accounts
  • Communicate with financial advisors and necessary third parties via phone, email, Message serv and/or fax as required
  • Review daily reconciliation and data integrity reports as assigned
  • Handle routine cleanup reports to ensure all client information is accurately reflected in our records
  • Assist with special projects during peak periods as assigned, and contribute to ongoing initiatives undertaken by the department
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing when required


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in an administrative position or Operations back-office environment
  • High school diploma is the minimum requirement
  • Post-Secondary education (preferably with a focus in Business or Accounting) or equivalent related business experience in the financial services industry is an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Understanding of investing fundamentals and/or Mutual Funds is considered an asset
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or the IFIC Mutual Funds Course is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Registered Product Legislation (RRSP, RESP, RRIF, LIRA, LIF) is an asset
  • Prior data entry/financial transaction processing experience
  • Extensive knowledge of industry back-office or Operations practices

This role follows our inoffice work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $34,320 to $58,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
