What does an order picker do?

An Order Picker is responsible for locating and selecting products in a warehouse or distribution center to fulfill customer orders. They use pick lists or handheld scanners to find the correct items, ensure accuracy, and prepare them for shipment. To manage these effectively, it's important to develop strong attention to detail, follow established picking procedures, and use ergonomic lifting techniques to prevent strain. Many warehouses also provide training on using inventory management systems and encourage teamwork to help meet productivity goals while minimizing errors.
