Position Summary:

The Order Entry Customer Service Representative is responsible for accurately processing customer orders, managing order-related inquiries, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers, sales, and internal departments to support efficient order fulfillment within a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter and process customer orders in the ERP system
  • Utilize the CRM system to maintain order records and validate information
  • Utilize compliance tools to screen orders and escalate as needed
  • Review orders for completeness, pricing, lead times, and product availability
  • Communicate order confirmations, changes, and updates to customers
  • Resolve order discrepancies, pricing issues, and billing concerns
  • Maintain and create customer accounts
  • Assist with returns, credits, and warranty-related requests as needed
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to order processing and customer experience

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelorโ€™s preferred
  • 2+ years of customer service or order entry experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
