Position Overview
Ratermann Manufacturing is seeking a highly detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service & Order Entry Specialist to join our Houston team. This role serves as an important bridge between our customers and internal operations team, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately while delivering a high level of service and responsiveness.
This position begins with a strong focus on order entry, data management, and operational support but offers a unique opportunity to grow into a broader customer service role within the Houston facility. The ideal candidate enjoys working with customers, communicating by phone and email, solving problems, and learning new systems while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently into internal systems
- Review orders for completeness, pricing, and accuracy
- Maintain and update customer and order information
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, updates, questions, and order-related issues
- Follow up with customers and internal teams when information is incomplete or clarification is needed
- Build positive relationships with customers through professional and responsive communication
- Utilize Excel for tracking, reporting, and data management
- Utilize Outlook and internal systems to coordinate customer requests and operational activities
- Navigate multiple systems efficiently while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness
- Handle high-volume order entry and administrative tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Support general administrative and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, order entry, administrative support, logistics coordination, or related roles
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and professionally assist customers
- Fast and accurate typing skills with strong keyboard proficiency
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to quickly navigate multiple systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to multitask between customer communication, order entry, and administrative tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
- Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
- Interest in learning and growing into a broader customer service role
