Position Overview

Ratermann Manufacturing is seeking a highly detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service & Order Entry Specialist to join our Houston team. This role serves as an important bridge between our customers and internal operations team, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately while delivering a high level of service and responsiveness.

This position begins with a strong focus on order entry, data management, and operational support but offers a unique opportunity to grow into a broader customer service role within the Houston facility. The ideal candidate enjoys working with customers, communicating by phone and email, solving problems, and learning new systems while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently into internal systems
  • Review orders for completeness, pricing, and accuracy
  • Maintain and update customer and order information
  • Communicate with customers regarding order status, updates, questions, and order-related issues
  • Follow up with customers and internal teams when information is incomplete or clarification is needed
  • Build positive relationships with customers through professional and responsive communication
  • Utilize Excel for tracking, reporting, and data management
  • Utilize Outlook and internal systems to coordinate customer requests and operational activities
  • Navigate multiple systems efficiently while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness
  • Handle high-volume order entry and administrative tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, order entry, administrative support, logistics coordination, or related roles
