Job description

Orbit Fab's mission is to create the foundational infrastructure that will fuel a bustling in-space economy, capable of sustaining permanent jobs in space. Today, satellites cannot be refueled, which severely constrains their mobility and inhibits the development of economic activities in space.
Orbit Fab breaks the single-use paradigm, pioneering our Gas Stations in Space™ refueling infrastructure and RAFTI™ technology to deliver propellant in space, enabling lower-cost satellite construction, increased maneuverability, precise control, and extended lifespans. The possibilities are unprecedented, opening the doors to unimagined operational strategies and business models.
Since our establishment in 2018, we have already achieved the successful launch of three tankers to space. With offices in both the US and UK, we are working in close collaboration with partners and customers across the space industry. Orbit Fab is rapidly ramping up capabilities and requires exceptional talent to tackle important challenges. Our roles offer wide ranging opportunities to have a demonstrable impact and enable a bustling space economy.
Role Overview
You would be responsible for driving Orbit Fab's marketing efforts across brand, content, digital, and public relations, supported by our marketing firm on retainer. You will serve as the voice of the company - communicating our mission to customers, investors, potential hires, and the broader space industry. Your work will directly support business development by creating materials that position Orbit Fab as the leader in orbital refueling and in-space infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and have the opportunity to build and shape the marketing function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute Orbit Fab's marketing strategy across brand awareness, product marketing, and demand generation
• Create compelling marketing materials including product spec sheets, customer presentations, pitch decks, and capability one-pagers
• Lead press and PR strategy - write, coordinate, and distribute press releases; build and maintain relationships with key media and industry journalists
• Own and grow Orbit Fab's social media presence on LinkedIn and other channels, setting and tracking follower and engagement targets
• Organize and support product launches, trade show appearances, and industry conference presence
• Partner with the Business Development team to develop targeted messaging and collateral for commercial, civil, and government customer segments
• Track, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics; use data to iterate and improve campaign performance
• Manage relationships with external vendors including marketing firm and PR agencies as needed
• Represent Orbit Fab at industry events, panels, and media opportunities
Key Skillset
• 3-5 years of marketing experience, ideally in aerospace, deep tech, or B2B technology
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for diverse audiences
• Self-starter that can own and manage projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated passion for storytelling
• Hands-on experience managing digital channels including LinkedIn, social media, and press relations
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of marketing experience in a professional environment
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute integrated marketing campaigns
• Strong portfolio of written content, marketing materials, or design work
• Experience managing social media channels with measurable growth outcomes
• Excellent written communication skills - a love of writing is a must
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• US citizen or lawful permanent resident to ensure compliance with US export control laws
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Nice to Have
• Experience marketing in the aerospace, defense, or deep tech sectors
• Graphic design skills or experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva
• Video production or multimedia content creation experience
• Familiarity with the space industry ecosystem, key players, and market trends
• Experience supporting business development or government contracting with marketing materials
• MBA or additional business coursework
