Oral Surgery Front Desk Assistant – Charlotte, NCFriendly Dental Group is seeking an organized and patient-focused
Oral Surgery Front Desk Assistant to join our oral surgery team in the Charlotte area. This is a great opportunity for someone with dental front desk experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced specialty environment and providing excellent patient support from scheduling through treatment coordination.
The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with patients, providers, and referral offices. Experience with oral surgery, dental insurance, or specialty treatment coordination is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong dental office experience.
Responsibilities- Â Greet patients and provide a positive front desk experienceÂ
- Â Answer phones and respond to patient questions professionallyÂ
- Â Schedule oral surgery consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointmentsÂ
- Â Verify dental and medical insurance benefitsÂ
- Â Review treatment plans, financial estimates, and payment options with patientsÂ
- Â Collect payments and post patient balances as neededÂ
- Â Coordinate referrals and communicate with general dental officesÂ
- Â Confirm appointments and help manage the daily scheduleÂ
- Â Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic/insurance informationÂ
- Â Assist with pre-operative and post-operative instructions as directedÂ
- Â Support the oral surgery team with administrative tasks as neededÂ
- Â Help ensure smooth patient flow and excellent communication throughout the office
Qualifications- Â Minimum 1 year of dental front desk experience
- Â Oral surgery or specialty dental experience is a plusÂ
- Â Experience with dental insurance verification and treatment coordination preferredÂ
- Â Strong communication and customer service skillsÂ
- Â Ability to stay organized in a busy clinical environmentÂ
- Â Comfortable discussing financial information with patientsÂ
- Â Professional, dependable, and team-orientedÂ
