MetaPhase seeks an experienced Oracle database engineer/administrator to support the ongoing sustainment and modernization of a mission-critical system and applications. The role requires experience sustaining an existing Oracle environment while preparing for an imminent database migration. An ability to work across a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-past national security environment will be critical.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Overseeing and managing the Oracle data environment for a mission-critical system and applications, while preparing for and leading a migration to SQL Server.
  • Serving as the authoritative database administrator for monitoring and optimizing existing database performance.
  • Providing technical assistance and guidance to application developers
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database related issues and problems

What We Need From You (Required):

  • Active Secret Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required
  • 6+ years managing Oracle databases for Federal Systems using Oracle 9.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated experience and ability providing Oracle database administration monitoring and optimization
  • Experience installing and tailoring database management software and creating and configuring databases, table spaces, and all other related data objects
  • Demonstrated experience using Oracle DMBS tools (SQL)
Bonus Points (Preferred):
  • Oracle Certified Professional
  • Experience leading an Oracle to SQL Server migration

Work Setup:

  • Onsite in Washington, DC (hybrid possible)
Clearance & Education:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance: U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's degree
