About the Role
Our client, a global leader in electrical infrastructure, connectivity, and protection solutions, is seeking a Senior Manager, Customer Master Data Management (MDM) to lead enterprise-wide customer data governance and strategy. This position will serve as the strategic owner of customer master data, ensuring the integrity, quality, security, and business value of customer information across global operations.
This role offers the opportunity to partner with business and technology leaders to establish data standards, drive digital transformation initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with deep expertise in master data management, data governance, business processes, and analytics.

Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Customer Master Data Management (MDM), you will:
  • Lead the governance, ownership, and management of enterprise customer data domains, including customer hierarchies, legal entities, segmentation structures, tax information, and relationship mapping.
  • Establish and maintain customer data standards, policies, and governance frameworks to improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, and business value.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for customer master data and provide strategic guidance across business functions.
  • Partner with Master Data Management teams to define golden records, survivorship rules, data quality standards, and integration requirements.
  • Manage customer data enhancement initiatives, process improvements, and data quality remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with data stewards and business stakeholders to support customer onboarding, customer record management, data lineage documentation, and governance processes.
  • Develop and monitor key data quality metrics, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Perform data analysis and root cause investigations using SQL and related tools to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Maintain customer data catalogs, business definitions, metadata, and data lineage documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units, sales, marketing, legal, privacy, compliance, and technology teams to support customer data initiatives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead change management efforts related to customer data governance and business process transformation.
  • Support compliance with privacy regulations, data governance policies, and industry standards.
  • Oversee data security classifications, access controls, audit documentation, and issue resolution efforts.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with7+ years of progressive experience in data management
  • 5+ years of experience working with customer master data, master data management (MDM)
  • Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and quality management.
  • Experience with Master Data Management platforms such as Informatica MDM or similar enterprise solutions.
  • Experience using data governance, data catalog, lineage, and data quality management tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and data warehouse environments, including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of customer data models, B2B customer hierarchies, legal entities, tax structures, customer segmentation, and relationship management.
  • Experience partnering with business and technical teams to define data standards and governance processes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations, data governance principles, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Ability to lead data governance initiatives, establish standards, and drive adoption across multiple business functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, DGSP, data governance, privacy, or related credentials.
  • Certifications in Informatica, Snowflake, SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or other complex B2B environments.
  • Experience supporting global data governance programs and enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
