Job Description:

We are seeking a Finance & Projects Functional Lead to own and optimize Oracle Fusion Financials and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) in a regulated aerospace & defense manufacturing environment. This role will ensure financial accuracy, government contract compliance, and scalable project accounting processes across the enterprise.

This individual will serve as the primary functional authority for cost accounting, project billing, and revenue recognition within Oracle Fusion.

You must have experience leading an Oracle Fusion implementation at scale. 

What you'll do:
Oracle Fusion Module Ownership
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash Management
  • Cost Accounting
  • Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
  • Revenue Management (if applicable)
Government & Compliance Responsibilities
  • Support DCAA audit requirements
  • Manage indirect rate structures and cost pools
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS cost principles
  • Support government contract billing accuracy
  • Oversee subledger-to-GL reconciliation integrity
Operational Leadership
  • Lead financial process design workshops
  • Drive quarterly Oracle update impact analysis
  • Partner with Finance leadership during close cycles
  • Define and validate UAT scenarios
  • Identify and remediate system control gaps
  • Leverage Oracle Cloud’s embedded AI/ML capabilities (e.g., predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and anomaly detection) to enhance business processes, improve data-driven decision-making, and drive operational efficiency.
Required qualifications:
  • 8+ years of ERP financial systems experience
  • Deep understanding of cost accounting and project accounting
  • Experience in government contracting or regulated manufacturing
  • Hands-on Oracle Fusion Financials experience is a must
Preferred qualifications:
  • DCAA audit exposure
  • CPA or equivalent certification
  • Experience supporting revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Oracle Cloud Certification highly desired
  • Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting
