Job description

Contract ODI Developer

Partnering with a financial services firm to find a contract ODI Developer that will work with business and IT groups to design a data integration workflow that provides for the extracting, loading and transforming of data using Oracle ODI. The developer must be capable of working in a collaborative environment to support rapid development and delivery of highly demanding projects.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

-Designing ETL interfaces and packages from several data sources

-Dimensions, Hierarchies, Fact Tables

-Excellent experience with Oracle ODI

-Development, ETL designs, datastores, topology, building objects in Designer, Monitoring Operator, different type of KMs, Agents, etc.

-Excellent understanding of relational databases and Data warehousing concepts

-Excellent knowledge in PL/SQL

-Proficient in Python for data analysis to assist in understanding the data

-Optimizes data models through normalization, table analysis and review of queries

-Hands on experience with Unix/Linux, Autosys

-Experience with requirements gathering process with Business Analysts and Users

-Experience working on troubleshooting and performance tuning of ETL interfaces

-Experience creating data validation test cases, etc.

-Draw out, analyze, validate and manage requirements, flows and deliverables for projects.

-Excellent understanding of SDLC

-ODI, Python, Autosys Job Scheduler, Unix Shell Scripting

-Excellent SQL skills across various databases including Oracle, SQL Server

-Databases: ORACLE, SQL Server, DB2

-Knowledge of database analysis tools like TOAD, SQL Developer, etc.

Required Skills: Python, Java, Oracle. Additional Skills: Software Developer, Database Developer. This is a high priority requisition.
