Job Summary
The HCM QA Lead will serve as the overall testing lead for an Oracle HCM implementation program. This role is responsible for developing and executing the testing strategy across all phases of the project, including Conference Room Pilots (CRP), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Payroll Testing, Security Testing, Data Conversion Validation, and End-to-End Business Process Testing. The ideal candidate will provide testing leadership and program management while partnering with business stakeholders, project leadership, IT teams, and System Integrators to ensure successful delivery of a high-quality Oracle HCM solution.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the overall testing strategy across all project phases.
• Lead CRP, SIT, UAT, Payroll Testing, Security Testing, Data Conversion Validation, and End-to-End Business Process Testing activities.
• Provide testing governance, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and testing readiness oversight.
• Lead QA activities with System Integrators throughout all phases of testing.
• Coordinate testing activities across business, IT, and integrated enterprise application teams.
• Develop test artifacts, including Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Execution documentation, and test data.
• Manage test data, environment coordination, and testing dependencies across integrated applications.
• Lead test runs and testing cycles while tracking progress and readiness.
• Manage defect tracking, issue resolution, and defect triage meetings.
• Use Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, test execution, reporting dashboards, and requirements traceability.
• Monitor testing risks, dependencies, issues, and overall quality throughout the implementation.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, project leadership, IT teams, QA teams, and System Integrators.
• Apply QA methodologies, testing governance, defect management, and quality engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience leading SIT and UAT testing in Agile or Hybrid environments.
• Experience leading testing efforts for large SaaS implementations, preferably Oracle HCM Cloud.
• Experience managing QA activities with System Integrators across all testing phases.
• Experience with Data Migration Testing, Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and End-to-End Testing.
• Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for test management, defect tracking, test execution, reporting dashboards, and requirements traceability.
• Experience developing Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Execution documentation, and test data.
• Strong understanding of test data management, environment coordination, and testing dependencies across integrated enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing governance, defect management, and quality engineering best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority and build effective partnerships across business and IT teams.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Experience leading testing activities, conducting test runs and cycles, tracking defects, resolving issues, and leading defect triage meetings.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ERP testing, including JDA, POS, PLM, Infor LN, JDE, or PeopleSoft.
• Experience with Oracle performance testing.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP functional testing in Finance (FIN).
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP functional testing in Manufacturing (MFG).
• CSTE certification.
• ISTQB certification.
