Job Description SummaryThe Oracle Fusion Functional Manager connects operator needs and functional process requirements to the way the digital project is configured, used and improved to deliver value to the business. This role combines people leadership with functional ownership to ensure Oracle Fusion effectively supports requisitioning, approvals, purchasing, supplier-related processes, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.
The manager leads a team, sets priorities, develops talent, and ensures high-quality execution across operational support, testing, enhancement delivery, and long-term roadmap planning. This role serves as a key link between procurement, digital technology, compliance, and connected system teams to deliver stable, compliant, and scalable procurement solutions.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for Oracle Fusion procurement functional support and ownership.
  • Set clear goals, roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members.
  • Build team capability in procurement processes, Oracle Fusion functionality, testing, issue resolution, and stakeholder management.
  • Provide prioritization and workload management across operational support, enhancements, projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning as needed.

Functional Ownership of Procurement Processes

  • Own Oracle Fusion functionality supporting procurement business processes, including:
    • System Performance
    • User ticket support
    • Purchase order creation, maintenance, and change management
  • Ensure system usage, process design, and business rules align with procurement policies and business needs.
  • Serve as the primary leader for functional decisions related to Oracle Fusion procurement processes, standards, and improvements.

Compliance, Governance, and Controls

  • Oversee access management for Oracle Fusion procurement users, including role alignment, user access reviews, and control compliance.
  • Ensure procurement workflows and transactions align with internal controls, policy requirements, and audit expectations.
  • Lead governance for approval structures, process controls, and role-based access within procurement.
  • Partner with compliance, audit, and security stakeholders on documentation, evidence gathering, and remediation plans.

Procurement Operations Support

  • Lead day-to-day functional support for Oracle Fusion procurement activities.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of user issues, system/process defects, and transaction exceptions.
  • Monitor operational health across requisitions, approvals, purchase orders, receiving coordination, and related reporting.
  • Establish and sustain standard work for recurring procurement support processes.
  • Drive process improvements that improve compliance, user experience, and operational effectiveness.

User Support and Team Enablement

  • Ensure the team provides strong functional support to procurement users.
  • Oversee ticket management, escalation handling, root cause resolution, and communication to stakeholders.
  • Ensure development and maintenance of training materials, job aids, and user guidance.
  • Support users through releases, process changes, and adoption of new functionality.
  • Promote consistent service levels and a customer-focused support model.

Cross-System Interface Management

  • Lead functional coordination across Oracle Fusion and connected systems supporting procurement processes.
  • Oversee requirements and issue management involving systems such as:
    • APS / Centerpiece
    • Supply Line
    • SSS
    • CLM
  • Ensure data integrity, transaction continuity, and effective issue resolution across system interfaces.
  • Evaluate business impact of upstream and downstream process or system changes.

Testing, Release, and Change Management

  • Ensure effective functional testing for Oracle Fusion procurement updates, patches, fixes, and enhancements.
  • Oversee development of end-to-end test scenarios that cover standard transactions, exceptions, approvals, and integrations.
  • Coordinate team participation in testing, defect resolution, business validation, and release readiness.
  • Lead change planning and stakeholder communication to minimize disruption during deployments.
  • Establish disciplined release support practices and post-release stabilization processes.

Enhancements and Roadmap Management

  • Own the Oracle Fusion procurement enhancement backlog and prioritization process.
  • Partner with procurement leaders and digital technology teams to define requirements and align investments to business value.
  • Manage a6-18 month enhancement roadmapfor Oracle Fusion procurement capabilities.
  • Balance operational needs, compliance requirements, technical constraints, and strategic priorities in roadmap decisions.
  • Support business case development, process design, deployment readiness, and adoption planning.

Future-State Procurement Strategy

  • Define a2-5 year visionfor Oracle Fusion procurement capabilities and team maturity.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify requisition-to-purchase-order workflows, improve approval efficiency, standardize buying practices, and reduce manual workarounds.
  • Recommend future-state capabilities that improve control, scalability, reporting, supplier coordination, and user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED and minimum of 9 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain, procurement or digital technology),
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain, procurement or digital technology.
