The Senior Oracle Financials Functional Consultant is responsible for leading the implementation of the Oracle Fusion Financial Modules. This is a hands-on role where the candidate is responsible for leading the implementation of multiple modules. This role ensures the modules are completed on time, within budget, and meet business requirements by leading design sessions, working with offshore counterparts, managing cross-functional teams, overseeing system integrations, and driving financial process improvements.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Oracle Financials (Cloud) with strong project management skills to deliver measurable value to the organization.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan, manage, and execute full lifecycle Oracle Financials projects, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (finance teams, IT, and leadership) to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
  • Hands on implementation of Oracle Financials modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR, FA) and to contribute to the integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including functional consultants, developers, and analysts.
  • Facilitate process optimization by leveraging Oracle Financials best practices to enhance financial operations.
  • Conduct status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper documentation, user training, and knowledge transfer for sustained system adoption.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to maintain project momentum.
  • Must have experience reconciling between PO, AP, GL

Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Hands on experience implementing Oracle Financials (Cloud) implementations.
  • Preferred experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years focused on Oracle Financials (EBS or Cloud) implementations.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle Financials modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets (FA).
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and ERP system integrations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies and tools like MS Project or Jira.
  • Familiarity with change management, user training, and post-go-live support.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials and related cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting tools (e.g., Oracle BI, Hyperion) and data migration strategies.
  • Prior success in managing cross-functional or global project teams.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines.

Work Environment:
  • Full-time position with the need for on-site presence and potential for hybrid or remote work, depending on organizational needs.
  • Will require occasional travel for on-site collaboration or implementation support.
