You Are: Project to Close Lead
The Work:
The Oracle Project-to-Close Lead oversees the end-to-end project-accounting lifecycle within Oracle Cloud ERP, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency from project initiation through final closeout. This role leads functional design, configuration governance, reconciliation oversight, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects are properly established, managed, billed, capitalized, and closed in alignment with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the functional design and governance of Oracle Project Accounting modules, including project creation, budgeting, cost collection, revenue methods, billing setups, and project-close processes
  • Ensure project structures, templates, burden schedules, expenditure types, and cost rules meet compliance and financial-policy requirements
  • Direct the end-to-end financial-closeout cycle including cost finalization, revenue recognition, billing completion, asset capitalization, and contract close
  • Partner with finance, supply chain, contracts, and technical teams to support accurate project setup and execution
  • Oversee reconciliation activities between Project Accounting, GL, Billing, Costing, and Fixed Assets
  • Lead testing cycles (SIT, UAT) for project-accounting configurations and enhancements
  • Provide governance for project-related integrations and data flows across enterprise modules
  • Support auditing, compliance reviews, and documentation updates for project-financial processes
  • Drive continuous-improvement initiatives to optimize the project-to-close lifecycle

  • Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC) experience
  • Oracle Financials experience

Bonus Points If:
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide project-accounting transformations
  • Background supporting multiyear contracts, federal compliance, or regulatory reporting
  • Knowledge of project-contract billing, project cost capitalization, or asset integration
  • Skills in Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC)
