ob Summary & Justification:
This is a new request for a Database Administrator in the Information Technology Division. The Database Administrator will be responsible for designing and securing computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information. This position completes activities relating to database management, planning, development, security, and maintenance. Develops database models, definitions, and standards for administering enterprise databases on one or more platforms. Designs and coordinates the implementation of database structures for one or more platforms. May be asked to convert legacy Microsoft Access Databases to SQL Server. Under minimal supervision, the DBA will be part of the IT Technical Team and ensure the IT framework is applied to all active projects
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, designs and secures computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience in support of an operating system, database management system or a related field OR Two years of experience at the lower level Database Administrator 1 (ITP030) or position equivalent.
