Summary
The Oracle Platform Principal Engineer is a senior technical engineering role responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Oracle Fusion technical solutions across the Oracle platform. This role focuses on Oracle Fusion technical development, enterprise integrations, reporting, platform extensions, and modernization initiatives across Oracle ERP and Supply Chain Management.
The ideal candidate has deep Oracle Fusion technical expertise, strong experience with reporting and data movement tools, and the ability to partner across functional, technical, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and supportable Oracle solutions. Experience with Redwood customization and Redwood migration is preferred as we continue to modernize the Oracle user experience.
The Principal Engineer partners closely with business leaders, architects, product owners, and development teams to ensure Oracle solutions align with enterprise objectives while establishing technical standards, best practices, and long-term platform roadmaps.
This role requires deep expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS), reporting platforms, Oracle databases, DevOps practices, and enterprise integration architectures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and support Oracle Fusion technical solutions across Finance, Supply Chain Management, ERP, and related Oracle Cloud modules.

  • Develop and maintain Oracle reporting and extraction solutions using BI Publisher, OTBI, BICC, FDI, and related Oracle reporting technologies.

  • Build and support FBDI-based data load processes and ESS job automation.

  • Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL solutions to support reporting, integrations, and Oracle Fusion extensions.

  • Support Oracle Integration Cloud solutions and collaborate with integration engineers on inbound and outbound data flows.

  • Work with REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON-based services as needed to support Oracle Fusion technical integrations.

  • Evaluate, enhance, and modernize Oracle Fusion customizations and extensions.

  • Support Redwood page customization and Redwood migration initiatives as a preferred capability.

  • Partner with architects, product owners, business analysts, and functional teams to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Participate in technical design reviews, deployment planning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

  • Ensure solutions follow development standards, Oracle best practices, security requirements, and release management processes.

  • Partner with support teams to improve platform reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Establish proactive monitoring, observability, and alerting strategies.

  • Champion DevOps practices for Oracle platform development and deployment.

  • Define CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of enterprise application development, Oracle technical development, or platform engineering experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud technical development.

  • Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Finance and Supply Chain Management technical capabilities.

  • Expert-level experience with FBDI, ESS, OTBI, BI Publisher, FDI, and BICC.

  • Expert-level SQL and PL/SQL development experience.

  • Expert-level supporting Oracle Integration Cloud solutions.

  • Knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON-based integration patterns.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with Redwood page customization and Redwood migration.

  • Oracle Cloud certifications.

  • Experience with OCI monitoring, logging, performance alerting, and dashboarding.

  • Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to development standards.

  • Experience in large enterprise SaaS environments.
