Oracle ERP Developer - Job Description
Role Overview
The Oracle ERP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting technical solutions across Oracle ERP Cloud applications. The role focuses on integrations, reporting, data conversions, and extensions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), BI Publisher, and PL/SQL. The developer works closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and ensure seamless data flow across modules and external systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including REST/SOAP services, file-based integrations, orchestration flows, and connectivity with external systems.
  • Build and enhance BI Publisher reports, data models, bursting logic, and scheduled report delivery.
  • Write efficient PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and scripts to support data transformations, validations, and backend processes.
  • Utilize BICC (BI Cloud Connector) for bulk data extraction, data migration, and integration with downstream systems.
  • Design and execute FBDI and ADFdi templates for data conversions, mass updates, and ongoing data loads.
  • Support and troubleshoot issues across integrations, reports, and extensions in Oracle ERP Cloud.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, integration specs, data mapping, and test scripts.
  • Ensure solutions follow Oracle best practices, security standards, and performance guidelines.
  • Participate in release cycles, regression testing, and deployment activities.
  • Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning for integrations and reports.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including Integration, Process, and third-party connections with REST and SOAP web services, API integrations, and authentication methods (OAuth, Basic Auth).
  • Strong expertise in BI Publisher (data models, RTF / XSLT templates, bursting, scheduling).
  • Advanced PL/SQL development skills, including performance tuning and complex data processing.
  • Familiarity with BICC for large-scale data extraction.
  • Experience with FBDI and ADFdi for data loads and mass updates.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle ERP Cloud modules (Financials GL, AHUB, AP, CM, FA, PO).
  • Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot integration failures, and resolve technical issues quickly.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with OCI Data Integration (OCI-DI) or other OCI services (Object Storage, Functions, API Gateway).
  • Proficiency in OTBI reporting and subject area customization.
  • Understanding of Oracle Cloud security, roles, and privileges.
  • Exposure to PaaS extensions, custom REST endpoints, and Oracle Autonomous Database.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
