Oracle MDM Cloud Consultant / Senior Oracle MDM Functional Consultant

Job Type: Contract

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Irvine, CA for client workshops


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle MDM Cloud Consultant / Senior Oracle MDM Functional Consultant with strong functional and techno-functional expertise in Oracle Master Data Management and Oracle Cloud MDM.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle Customer Data Management (CDM), Supplier Data Management, Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH/PIM) and related Oracle Cloud applications.


This role requires strong end-to-end implementation experience. Candidates should have worked on Oracle MDM implementations involving requirements gathering, solution design, functional configuration, master data migration, integrations, testing, deployment, Go-Live and hypercare/support.


Candidates with experience across Customer, Supplier and Product Master Data, along with OIC/ICS, EDQ/EDQP, SQL/PLSQL and Oracle EBS/Fusion integrations, will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in end-to-end Oracle MDM Cloud implementations and global rollouts.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Oracle MDM Cloud solutions.
  • Design functional solutions for Customer, Supplier and Product Master Data.
  • Configure and support Oracle Customer Data Management (CDM).
  • Configure and support Oracle Supplier Data Management / Supplier Hub.
  • Work extensively with Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH/PIM) and Product Master Data.
  • Perform functional configuration of Product/Item Classes, Attribute Groups, Attributes, Value Sets and Product Data structures.
  • Configure Customer and Supplier master data and related data governance/business rules.
  • Support master data migration, conversion, cleansing and validation activities.
  • Design and support inbound and outbound integrations between Oracle MDM Cloud and enterprise applications.
  • Work with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC/ICS) or similar Oracle integration technologies.
  • Support data quality and cleansing initiatives using Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ/EDQP).
  • Support Oracle Cloud data import/export and master data migration processes.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, functional teams, offshore/onsite teams and business stakeholders.
  • Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, technical documentation and implementation deliverables.
  • Participate in SIT, UAT, defect resolution, deployment and Go-Live activities.
  • Provide post-production hypercare and functional support.
  • Troubleshoot Oracle MDM-related functional and data issues.
  • Participate in regional and global Oracle MDM rollouts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Oracle MDM, Master Data Management and data governance.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of overall IT experience with strong experience in Oracle MDM.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle MDM Cloud / Oracle Fusion Cloud MDM.
  • Strong implementation experience with Oracle Customer Data Management (CDM).
  • Strong experience with Oracle Supplier Data Management / Supplier Hub.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH/PIM).
  • Multiple Oracle MDM implementation projects with hands-on functional configuration experience.
  • Experience with master data migration, conversion, cleansing and validation.
  • Experience with inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management, data governance and data quality concepts.
  • Experience across the complete implementation lifecycle:
  • Requirements → Design → Configuration → Migration → Integration → SIT → UAT → Go-Live → Hypercare.
  • Strong SQL knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively with business, functional and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC/ICS).
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ/EDQP).
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.
  • Strong PL/SQL experience.
  • Experience with Oracle UCM.
  • Experience integrating Oracle MDM Cloud with Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion Cloud and third-party applications.
  • Experience with global and multi-country Oracle MDM implementations.
  • Oracle certifications in Customer Data Management, Product Hub Cloud or Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Experience with functional documentation, solution design and implementation governance.
