Database Engineer – Oracle & Generative AIIntroduction

We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer with expertise in Oracle Database Engineering and hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLMs, and AI-powered database solutions. This role involves designing and building next-generation AI-powered data solutions that enhance user interactions with large-scale enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build scalable enterprise database services and solutions
  • Troubleshoot critical database issues and perform root-cause analysis
  • Develop applications and database solutions using SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and Shell scripting
  • Research and prototype Generative AI and LLM-powered database solutions
  • Build and maintain LLM-powered database assistants
  • Develop RAG pipelines using data from Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Integrate AI-powered tools into database performance tuning and query optimization workflows
  • Collaborate with various teams for database releases and deployments
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of database engineering experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on Oracle development and administration
  • Expert-level Oracle PL/SQL and SQL skills
  • Strong experience with Python and Shell scripting
  • Experience with AWS, Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Artifactory
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, or ML pipelines
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering and AI-assisted software development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with RDS Oracle and RDS PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines
  • Experience with pgvector or Oracle AI Vector Search
  • Working knowledge of OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock
  • AWS SageMaker or Azure ML certification
  • Experience with CI/CD for AI/ML model deployment
