Job Description

Client is looking for an experienced Oracle database software engineer to join the development team in Charlotte, North Carolina.ย 


Responsibilities include working with other software developers to build/enhance Oracle capabilities as a full-function database option for our Payments products. The candidate must have experience in understanding/documenting requirements, design, development, test, documentation and defect resolution for software systems using Oracle databases.

Skills/Technologies:

Oracle DB Enterprise and Standard - 11 and later

DB Administration

SQL/PL/XML

Data modeling and relational database design

SQL performance tuning

Experience building/modifying DDLs

Platforms: Windows, Red Hat Linux on System x, AIX

Tools: Rational Team Concert or similar (a source code management system), Rational Application Developer or similar (development environment); Open Office or Microsoft Office or similar (documents, spreadsheets and presentations).


The candidate will also have previous Oracle database design, tuning and support experience, be self-motivated and self-directed to support the organization's rapid development cycles.
