Positional Overview
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications within a complex technology environment. This role is focused on hands-on Java development and will support the delivery and modernization of business-critical applications using Spring Boot, Oracle, and microservices-based architectures.
Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and enhance new and existing enterprise applications.
  • Build and support Java-based applications and services using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Develop and maintain integrations across applications, platforms, APIs, and backend systems.
  • Work extensively with Oracle databases, including SQL development, data integration, and application connectivity.
  • Analyze complex technical requirements and translate business needs into scalable systems solutions.
  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical analysis and design through testing and user acceptance.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support the ongoing stability and effectiveness of supported applications.
  • Prepare clear technical specifications, system documentation, test plans, and implementation assessments.
  • Partner with application development, operations, technology, and business teams on project delivery.
  • Recommend and implement technology or process improvements while following enterprise development standards and controls.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of systems analysis and application development experience.
  • Strong hands-on Java development experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications using Spring Boot.
  • Strong Oracle and SQL experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, or supporting microservices-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of application integrations and interfacing systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and supporting complex applications.
  • Ability to work independently on complex development initiatives and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
