Salary Range: **$150,000 to $200,000 per year

** Starting salary is based on minimum education and years of experience and increases based on education and/or experience.

Overview: WOOD Federal Solutions is Database Engineer / Oracle Database Administrator to support a large, mission-critical system with demanding performance, security, and availability requirements. This role supports complex, distributed environments and works closely with technical teams and customer stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep Oracle expertise, strong engineering discipline, and experience operating in secure, fast-paced environments.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.


  • Provide database engineering support across architecture, design, development, testing, documentation, and performance planning activities

  • Analyze user and system requirements and translate them into database architectures and designs

  • Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and availability planning for large-scale systems

  • Perform database administration activities including backup and recovery, user administration, replication, and migration

  • Conduct risk assessments and analyze alternatives for system and database related issues

  • Support distributed data replication, concurrent data access, and high availability solutions

  • Collaborate with system engineers, software engineers, test engineers, and information assurance teams in an Agile environment

  • Interface with customer technical points of contact as required

  • Participate in Program Increment Planning and Agile team activities

  • Support ongoing optimization, maintenance, and improvement efforts across database platforms
