Required Skills  

Oracle DBA should have 8+ years of experience. 

DBA should be expert in:

PL/SQL, TSQL and SQL technology programming

Various operating systems. 

SQL performance tuning. 

Should be knowledgeable in DBA tools (such as TOAD , OEM , SQL developer & MS SQL profiler tool). 

Should be strong in replication technologies. 

Desired skills  

Should have domain knowledge on Automobile / manufacturing etc. 

Knowledge working on Java , Dot net , VB etc..

Knowledge on Shell & Perl scripting knowledge. 

Knowledge on database installation or client installation on different operating system and migration of database on cross platforms. 

DBA should be flexible to work in multiple North America timing & on-call etc.. DBA should be able manage the team by delegating work and sharing the knowledge of the account. DBA should be certified professional on Oracle database technology. DBA should have working experience on ITIL based tools & processes such as Change , Incident management , SRT handling etc..DBA should have good communication skills and client facing experience.. DBA should bridge gap between infrastructure DBA and application teams. Offshore DBA should work in night shift on a regular basis in North America timings and also perform on-call support on a rotation basis. 

 Optional skills : Proficiency in data integration and data quality development, standards, concepts, and platforms. Understanding of code promotion, version control, and QA procedures. Experience implementing enterprise database High Availability solutions. Strong knowledge of database backup and recovery concepts and practices
