Excellent job opportunity for Database Administrator US in Research Triangle Park - NC

Database knowledge: Oracle and Teradata with schema design experience - Level of knowledge/expertise: 5+ years of experience
Query Language: Complex Oracle / Teradata SQL with experience supporting SQL for applications and/or reporting - Level of knowledge/expertise: 8+ years of experience
Reporting Tool Knowledge: Business Objects - Level of Knowledge/expertise: 2+ years of experience
Job Responsibilities:
Support developers and users as they implement new processes and applications that need access to data you are
responsible for, including creating / maintaining technical specs
Maintain an understanding of the of the tools and business process for using those tools that populate data you are
responsible for, so you understand both the databases and how / why the data is stored as it is
Create / Maintain documentation on all Views / Reports / Feeds relying on data you are responsible for
Provide support for assigned data environments, responding to data, system, and user issues
Monitor assigned data environments (Oracle/Teradata/Business Objects) to ensure proper capacity and availability
Design / Maintain Business Objects Universe based on Teradata Schema
Designs / Creates Oracle Tables / Triggers / Indexes / Views / Packages in co-operation with application developers,
addressing necessary performance / security issues
Complex troubleshooting techniques primarily focused on data set creation / maintenance
Position does not require off hours or on call support
Position requires candidate to work on-site normally, remote working is available on an exception by exception basis.
