Job description

Class Summary REPOSTED 5/4/26 Job Description The Oracle Cloud System Administrator will be responsible managing security and user access in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Fusion Cloud by designing roles, enforcing least-privilege access, and conducting regular audits. This position will supports system maintenance and environment management, including cloning applications, managing cloud instances, and maintaining PaaS tools like OIC and APEX. This position will also monitor system performance to ensure reliability and provides guidance to team members while maintaining proper documentation.

Essential Duties Design and implement best practices to administer and improve the functionality, reliability and security of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications Troubleshoot issues related to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, EPM & HCM. Partner with internal IT teams such as Security, Network and Service Desk teams, and external vendor teams to proactively monitor, identify issues and drive them to resolution Review Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, and HCM quarterly release and other patch release notes with Business partners and plan the testing and roll-out to production Instance (Dev, Test, and Prod environments) management with appropriately refreshed data based on Business testing needs Manage and maintain Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP application metadata such as provisioning configurations, domains, and application components such as environment types, module types, and middleware components Administer the technical aspects of Oracle Fusion applications including the batch scheduling, OIC configurations, and fast formulas Manage user security, roles and workflows set within Oracle Cloud Security. Design & create custom roles to ensure they don't grant too many privileges.

Conduct regular security audits to identify and fix vulnerabilities. This is a hands-on role with provisioning, auditing and fine-tuning to ensure proper controls are in place Work with Oracle to perform System/Service Maintenance Tasks, Back Up and Recovery of Oracle Fusion Applications Monitor Oracle Fusion Cloud applications performance and architecture to ensure the system reliability, integrity and recoverability Work with internal staff, third-party vendors and Oracle to update and communicate environment maintenance schedules, refresh schedules, and outages Document system requirements and process flows Other Job Requirements/Information This job is a civilian position in either a public safety department or in Information Technology with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories, and fingerprinting.

This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. Grade The grade for this position is 107. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field AND Seven years of overall ERP Administration Experience AND Three years of experience administering Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, EPM & HCM An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered. Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is required.
