We are seeking a talented Senior Database Administrator to join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Customs and Border Protection (CBP) / Air and Marine Operations (AMO) / Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC) in their mission to protect the nation's borders and ensure the security of our communities. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to perform all aspects of advanced Oracle environment system administration, contributing to the advancement of technologies that keep nations safe. As an AMOC Senior Database Administrator, you will:
  • Perform all aspects of advanced Oracle environment System Administration for development, test and production activities
  • Diagnose and debug complicated performance, connectivity, and security issues involving critical C4I Oracle applications
  • Provide all C4I Oracle DBA support in such areas as proactive performance tuning and monitoring, trouble-shooting, back-up and recovery, partitioning, installations and configurations
  • Write and update PL/SQL statements and the maintenance of Oracle Database
  • Build, Modify and data query interfaces for visualization tools using Elasticsearch and OpenLayers
  • Support Law Enforcement and Operations by providing specialized Oracle Reports
  • Perform weekly, monthly and bi-monthly Oracle data updates

Required Skills and Education
  • 10+ years of experience in evaluating, analyzing, and ensuring the effective operation of C4I communications capabilities and infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of C4I systems and technical requirements
  • Experience with system design, development, and implementation
