Description

Optimized Technical Solutions (OTS) is currently searching for a qualified Oracle Application DBA with Oracle EBS Cloud/Exadata knowledge to join our industry-leading, Oracle cloud computing team and provide support for a current contract.


This position will be remote. The selected DBA will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Oracle experience supporting Oracle RAC/Multitenant architecture, Data Guard, partitioning, and compression.
  • Hands on experience in Installation and maintenance as an Oracle Application DBA for E-Business Suite R12 & R12.2.
  • Experience with Middleware technologies such as SOA, OID, OAM, WebLogic.
  • Pro-active and reactive performance analysis Troubleshooting, Monitoring, Performance tuning of E-business Application Servers in a mission critical environment.
  • Support for Oracle RAC/Multitenant architectures including familiarity with Oracle ExaCS environments.
Requirements
  • Candidate must a have bachelor's degree or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Candidate must have CompTIA Security+ or other 8570 IAT Level II certification (or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire date)
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years' experience as an Oracle Application DBA including Cloud database support and experience supporting Oracle Apps/EBS R12.2.x.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Administer databases through full application life cycle, development, testing, and production.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of database tuning: software configuration, memory usage, data access, data manipulation, SQL, and physical storage.
  • Ability to provide accurate and realistic effort estimates, commit and deliver accordingly.
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment and participate as a positive and cooperative team member.
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational and documentation skills.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Experienced Oracle Application DBA with EBS R12.2.x OCI and ExaCS experience.
  • Experience with Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control 13c and Grid Control 12c.
  • Oracle RAC/Multitenant architecture, Data Guard, partitioning, compression.
  • Hands on experience with implementation, upgrade and tuning of Oracle EBS environments.
  • Cloning of EBS systems and automation procedures.
  • EBS HA and DR concepts and options, including RAC, PCP, Shared File Systems, ASM, Data Guard, and other replication strategies. Patch assessment and application in an EBS environment.
  • Performance problem identification and remediation.
  • Systems Administration experience with Linux/Solaris operating systems.
  • DBaaS in OCI.

Work Environment

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by OTS.
