Optometrist (Correctional Facility) in Sandstone, MN
Schedule: 2 days weekly
Part Time Compensation: $100.00 - $125.00 per hour
The MedServ Group is a rapidly growing medical practice that comprehensive eye care services to incarcerated individuals within a correctional setting. We are currently searching for a talented Optometrist to join our team! The ideal Optometrist will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care in a secure environment.
Optometrist Responsibilities
  • Performing comprehensive eye exams.
  • Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease.
  • Prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications as needed.
  • Providing pre and post-operative care to surgical patients.
  • Promoting healthy vision by counseling and educating patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and correctional staff to ensure coordinated care.
  • Follow all institutional policies and procedures, including security protocols.
  • Educate patients on eye health, hygiene, and preventive care.

Optometrist Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and active state license.
  • Experience in primary care, community health, or correctional healthcare preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and security-conscious environment

General Information
