Looking for a healthcare role that keeps you moving, learning, and making a real difference with patients every day?
Join a fast-paced optometry practice in Allen, TX where you’ll work directly with patients, assist doctors, and help keep clinic flow running smoothly.
Position Overview
Allen Eyecare Center is hiring a Full-Time Optometric Assistant / Technician to support our doctors and patient care team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both patient interaction and hands-on clinical work in a medical office environment.
You’ll work closely with doctors while helping patients through testing, workups, education, and exam preparation.
Key Responsibilities
  •  Perform pre-testing and diagnostic testing including autorefraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, visual acuity testing, and visual fields 
  •  Accurately document medical history, medications, and patient information in the EHR 
  •  Prepare patients for exams and assist doctors during clinic flow 
  •  Educate patients on treatments, testing, and follow-up care 
  •  Clean, maintain, and sanitize clinical equipment and exam rooms 
  •  Support efficient patient flow in a busy optometry clinic
  •  Assist with contact lens training and patient education as needed 
Qualifications
  •  Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, medical assisting, or healthcare preferred but not required 
  •  Strong communication and patient-care skills 
  •  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment
  •  Detail-oriented and dependable 
  •  Positive attitude and willingness to learn 
Preferred Experience
  •  Optometry industry experience 
  •  Scribing or EHR documentation experience 
  •  Knowledge of ophthalmic testing equipment
