The base pay range for this position is
$240,000.00-$290,000.00 Annual
however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Job Title: Sports MedicinePhysician
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Classification: Exempt
Pullman Regional Hospital is expanding our sports medicine service line to offer a Regional Sports Medicine program, positioning our organization as the trusted provider of musculoskeletal and sports medicine care across the Palouse and surrounding regions. Through collaboration with Inland Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Clinics and Washington State University, we deliver integrated, high-quality care for athletes and active individuals of all ages, from youth athletes and collegiate competitors to weekend warriors and beyond. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure every person, ages 0-100, has access to expert care that supports healthy living and optimal physical performance.
We are seeking a Sports Medicine Physician to join our growing team and help advance our vision of comprehensive, accessible musculoskeletal care. A primary role is caring for our athletes at Washington State University. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other specialists. You will provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for sports-related injuries and conditions, while promoting injury prevention and performance optimization for athletes and active individuals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support Washington State University athletics through clinic, event coverage, consultation and care coordination.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based sports medicine care for patients of all ages.
  • Provide same-day access for acute injuries and timely follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, rehabilitation specialists, and athletic trainers to ensure integrated care.
  • Participate in outreach and education initiatives with local schools, athletic programs, and community organizations.
  • Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine with a CAQ in Sports Medicine, or fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine.
  • Current Washington State medical license and Idaho State license (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong clinical skills in musculoskeletal evaluation and treatment, including ultrasound-guided procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and community engagement.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with athletes at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization and injury prevention strategies.
  • Interest in program development and leadership opportunities.
