Do you love turning keyword insights into content that people genuinely want to read and act on? Are you driven by helping customers discover the right products through search at exactly the right moment? Can you translate complex products and seasonal needs into clear, trustworthy content that drives both engagement and conversion? Do you enjoy blending data, creativity, and hands-on execution as search evolves across Google and generative platforms? If you’re excited by owning impactful, SEO-driven content in an eCommerce environment, this role is for you.

The Pond Guy / Airmax, Inc. is the leading manufacturer and distributor of pond, lake, and water garden products- including aeration systems, fountains, and water treatments—to a nationwide network of end-users and Airmax dealers.

We’re seeking a strategic and creative SEO Content Strategist who can bridge the gap between keyword intelligence and compelling, high-performing content. In this role, you’ll develop and execute SEO-driven content strategies that increase organic visibility, strengthen category authority, and help drive qualified traffic and conversion across The Pond Guy’s eCommerce ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in growing organic traffic, improving category visibility, increasing customer engagement, and supporting revenue growth through content-led SEO strategies.

This is a remote role supporting The Pond Guy’s eCommerce business, with a strong focus on product education, category-level SEO, and content that supports customer decision-making and conversion. You will help customers understand what to buy, when to buy it, and how to use it through clear, trustworthy, and search-optimized content.

You’ll also plan and optimize content around strong seasonality and weather-driven demand, aligning organic search strategy with pond, lake, and water garden maintenance cycles throughout the year. This is a hands-on role supporting The Pond Guy’s growing eCommerce business through content-led organic growth, product education, category-level SEO, and customer conversion.

Responsibilities

Here are some examples of work your day would include:

  • Own and evolve SEO-driven content strategies that grow organic traffic, strengthen category visibility, and improve content performance across a variety of content such as blogs, product pages, category pages, and FAQs
  • Produce high-quality, search-optimized content from concept through final draft
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research with a focus on search intent, content gaps, and competitive opportunities
  • Lead SEO reporting and use performance insights to prioritize optimization opportunities, improve rankings, and increase organic engagement and conversion
  • Execute on-page SEO by crafting compelling and optimized meta titles, meta descriptions, header structures, schema-aware content layouts, and internal linking recommendations
  • Ensure content aligns with SEO best practices while maintaining strong readability, brand voice, and conversion intent
  • Stay current on evolving search, AI, and content trends to proactively inform strategy. Apply a strong understanding of generative engine optimization and large language model behavior
  • Partner with Marketing, eCommerce, and Creative teams to translate technical SEO insights into clear, actionable content recommendations

Success in this role will be measured by growth in organic traffic, keyword visibility, customer engagement, and conversion-driving content performance.

Don’t know about ponds? That’s okay! You’ll be trained to be proficient in your job. We utilize an interactive combination of hands-on and visual training to ensure everyone has a full understanding of TPG, Inc.’s proactive approach to pond management.
