Plantation, FL • On-site

Full-time

Posted 20 days ago

Job description

Summary/Objective:

Virgin Voyages is redefining the future of travel-bold, effortless, and unmistakably Virgin. The Manager, Shoreside Digital Experience is a commercially-minded digital leader who owns the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of VirginVoyages.com and FirstMates.com-Virgin Voyages' two primary shoreside digital properties. This role goes beyond product management: you are the business owner of the Sailor and First Mate's digital journey from first click to booking confirmation. You define the product vision and roadmap, champion a rigorous experimentation and A/B testing culture, and partner deeply with Data, Technology, CRM, and Marketing teams to translate insights into high-impact digital experiences. You are a strong communicator who can influence senior stakeholders, lead a small team of contractors and crew members, and hold every digital initiative accountable to measurable commercial outcomes.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

Essential Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy, vision, and roadmap for VirginVoyages.com and FirstMates.com-covering the B2C booking experience, B2B travel advisor portal, and all pre-sail digital touchpoints.

  • Define and maintain OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) for both platforms, ensuring every initiative is tied to a measurable business outcome-conversion, revenue, engagement, or retention.

  • Prioritize the product backlog using a rigorous impact/effort framework, with commercial value as the primary lens; resist feature creep and stakeholder-driven scope without data to support it.

  • Develop compelling, data-backed enhancement proposals for each platform-including problem statement, user insight, expected impact, effort estimate, and success criteria-before escalating for investment.

  • Partner with the Director, Digital Strategy & eCommerce to align the shoreside roadmap with the broader digital strategy and commercial priorities across all VV digital properties.

Experimentation, Optimization & Analytics

  • Champion a continuous experimentation culture-designing, prioritizing, and running A/B and multivariate tests across the booking funnel on VirginVoyages.com and FirstMates.com to continuously improve conversion and average order value.

  • Define the testing roadmap with clear hypotheses, success metrics, and minimum detectable effects; ensure tests are statistically valid before drawing conclusions or scaling changes.

  • Partner with the Data Insights & Intelligence team to define KPIs, diagnose funnel performance, identify drop-off points, and translate analytical findings into actionable product decisions.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of platform analytics-tagging requirements, attribution principles, KPI design, and metrics reporting-to self-serve insights and reduce reliance on ad hoc data requests.

  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Quantum Metric, Optimizely, VWO, or Monetate to monitor performance, surface opportunities, and validate product decisions with real user behavior data.

Personalization & AI-Enabled Capabilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-enabled capabilities across both platforms-from on-site agents and conversational search to generative content, predictive personalization, and AI-assisted merchandising-to remove friction in the path to book.

  • Partner with CRM and CDP teams to scale 1:1 personalization strategies that lift conversion and average order value for both Sailors and First Mates.

  • Evaluate emerging AI and digital commerce tools, bringing forward business cases for adoption when capability gaps are identified or competitive differentiation is possible.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary product liaison between Marketing, IT, Editorial, Sales, and CRM teams-ensuring digital priorities are understood, sequenced, and delivered without execution gaps.

  • Partner with the Technology team to manage requests and platform updates using PI planning, SAFe, and agile methodologies; actively participate in sprint reviews and planning ceremonies.

  • Manage and negotiate scope, timelines, and budgets with vendor partners and external digital agencies; hold partners accountable to quality and delivery standards.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to communicate roadmap progress, experiment results, and key platform insights to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.

  • Advise stakeholders in Marketing, IT, Editorial, and Sales on strategies to meet corporate objectives through platform optimization and marketing technology.

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and develop a small, high-performing team of contractors and crew members supporting the shoreside digital experience-setting clear priorities, providing ongoing coaching, and maintaining a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management for team members; actively develop talent and build team capability in data-driven product thinking.

  • Support broader enterprise technology adoption efforts, ensuring new tools and capabilities are implemented effectively and embedded into team workflows.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in a business, marketing, or quantitative field preferred.

  • 6+ years of experience in digital product management, eCommerce strategy, or digital experience delivery, with demonstrated ownership of a web or app platform with significant commercial impact.

  • Proven experience designing and executing A/B and multivariate testing programs that have driven measurable improvements in conversion, revenue, or engagement.

  • Deep understanding of online marketing principles including conversion rate optimization (CRO), audience segmentation, merchandising, cross- and upsell strategy, and lifecycle marketing.

  • Strong fluency in web analytics, tagging requirements, KPI design, attribution principles, and metrics reporting; able to define what to measure and interpret results to drive product decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to build structured, data-backed business cases and enhancement proposals that secure stakeholder buy-in and investment.

  • Experience managing a team (including contractors or agency partners) with a track record of developing talent and maintaining high performance in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Technology and Product teams using agile methodologies (SAFe, PI planning, Scrum); Jira or equivalent tool proficiency required.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships, negotiating scope, and holding external partners accountable to delivery standards.

  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills; able to synthesize complex data and product decisions into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership.

  • Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry experience preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with eCommerce and testing platforms strongly preferred: Optimizely, Google Analytics, Quantum Metric, VWO, Monetate, Figma.

  • Knowledge of marketing and content tools a plus: Magnolia CMS, Salesforce, Airtable.

  • Fluency in AI-driven personalization and digital automation tools; intellectual curiosity about emerging eCommerce technology and its commercial applications.
