Job description

Manager, SEO & Digital Experience (UX)

The Manager, SEO & Digital Experience (UX) owns the organic growth and digital experience strategy across Evidence in Motion's ecosystem. This role is responsible for driving discoverability, usability, and conversion performance through a coordinated approach to SEO, UX/CRO, web development, and content enablement.

This role serves as the enterprise owner of organic acquisition and on-site experience, directing strategy across business units (University Partnerships, Post-Professional, and brand initiatives) while ensuring execution is consistent, scalable, and performance driven. The Manager is a hands-on leader who actively drives on-page and off-page SEO strategy and execution while leading and developing key SEO team members and serves as the primary partner to Product Marketing and Creative Teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise SEO Strategy & Leadership

  • Own and evolve EIM's enterprise SEO strategy across all business units and web properties
  • Direct SEO planning across technical SEO, on-page optimization, content enablement, and authority building
  • Lead the SEO strategy, setting priorities, standards, and success metrics
  • Ensure SEO strategies align with product priorities, enrollment goals, and market demand
  • Monitor algorithm changes, industry trends, and competitive landscape to proactively adjust strategy

UX, CRO & Digital Experience Ownership

  • Own UX and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategy across EIM web experiences
  • Identify and prioritize UX improvements that enhance clarity, usability, and conversion
  • Partner with Analytics to define hypotheses, testing plans, and success metrics
  • Ensure user experience decisions are data-informed and aligned with student and partner needs

Web Development & Platform Enablement

  • Provide strategic direction and prioritization for web development efforts across marketing properties
  • Partner with Web Developer to ensure performance, accessibility, scalability, and technical SEO best practices
  • Guide platform decisions related to CMS, site architecture, and front-end standards
  • Ensure web development efforts support SEO, UX, lifecycle, and attribution requirements

Content Enablement & Coordination

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Content Marketing, and Writer resources to ensure content is SEO-informed and user-focused
  • Direct content requirements related to keyword strategy, site structure, and search intent
  • Guide the Content Marketing Coordinator on optimization, publishing standards, and performance feedback
  • Ensure content supports discoverability, engagement, and conversion objectives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product Marketing to align SEO and UX priorities with product positioning and launches
  • Collaborate with Analytics to define KPIs, dashboards, and performance insights
  • Work with Marketing Operations to ensure tracking, attribution, and lifecycle integration
  • Support Launch initiatives with SEO and UX readiness inputs

Performance, Reporting & Optimization

  • Own organic growth, UX, and CRO performance metrics across the business
  • Review performance regularly and surface insights, risks, and opportunities to leadership
  • Drive continuous optimization through testing, iteration, and prioritization
  • Ensure clear documentation of learnings, best practices, and standards

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary digital experience team
  • Set clear expectations, goals, and operating rhythms
  • Foster a collaborative, performance-oriented culture focused on impact and accountability
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development as the function scales

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience in SEO, digital experience, growth, or performance marketing roles

Proven experience leading SEO strategy across multiple products or business units

Strong understanding of technical SEO, content optimization, UX, and CRO principles

Experience managing both individual contributors and people managers

Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow) and web development workflows Strong analytical mindset with experience partnering with analytics teams

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on guidance

Experience in higher education, healthcare, or regulated environments is a plus
